Elastic waterproofing solvent-based membrane based on acrylic resins and rubber micro-granules FLEXIGUM SOLV is non-slip, non-friable, resistant to chlorine, acids, solvents and weather, keeping the color unchanged over time. Particularly suitable to waterproof roofs, terraces, prefabricated buildings, avenues of parks and gardens, swimming pool edges (excellent resistance to chlorine), flights of stairs, wooden cages. It has an excellent ability to adhere to metals, plastic materials and on non-porous supports. The surface to be waterproofed must be compact and leveled, in the absence of the following conditions, it will be necessary to prepare the support properly.
WHAT IT’S FOR
Waterproofing of all roofing surfaces: terraces, balconies, roofs, galvanized sheets, nozzles, gutters, eaves and worn supports already waterproofed with bituminous based products.
METHOD OF USE
- SURFACE PREPARATION
Once the treatment has been completed the surfaces to be waterproofed must have a sufficient gradient for the water to flow, occasional water stagnations can be tolerated.
The support must be compact and flat, in the absence of such conditions, adequate preparation of the same should be provided.
1-surfaces already paved: They must be dry and perfectly clean (remove any oil or grease with the special detergent for difficult dirt MAXXXI and for dirt deriving from lime and cement use the lime and cement dissolver STRONG instead).
2 – Surfaces with cement screeds, vertical plastered, old and / or new: Before waterproofing, if deteriorated screeds are present it will be necessary to remove and rebuild them with additives mortar and they must be dried and aged (for new screes at least 28 days will be necessary for the complete aging, the residual humidity must be less than 4% by weight to be determined by professional hygrometer).
Some covers must include the insertion of breather elements for the escape of water vapor.
3-surfaces already waterproofed with sheaths or bituminous products: They must be perfectly clean and free of dust; repair any lacerations, tears or detachments using bituminous products; check the condition of any expansion joints and, if they have deteriorated, proceed with their reopening, cleaning and reconstruction.
Apply the SOLVOFIX primer (see relevant technical sheet) to the substrate to be waterproofed.
FLEXIGUM SOLV can be applied by brush or short-haired wool roller.
After the primer has dried, apply a coat of FLEXIGUM SOLV, after approx. 24 hours (average drying time at 20 ° C.) Apply a second coat and then pass a third one again after drying.
The thickness for each applied coat must never exceed one millimeter.
